Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is in 2001:4b78:2:f::/64 (Milano office network). I see that the whole ‪2001:4B78::/32 network has been blocked. I also happen to manage this network[1] and I am quite sure that it does not generally hosts open proxies or VPNs. Md (talk) 8:03 am, 9 January 2025, last Thursday (7 days ago) (UTC−9)

Decline reason:

Consider this a technical decline as I am not lifting the block that is affecting you. However, I can easily see that you have made occasional edits to this project over a very long timeframe, without drawing a single warning or other indication that any of your edits were in bad faith. You don't need a checkuser for this; the network that's blocked is provided in the request. [1] shows "06:14, 30 September 2023 ST47 talk contribs block changed block settings for 2001:4b78::/32 talk with an expiration time of 3 years (account creation blocked) ({{blocked proxy}} )" So someone knowledgeable about proxies is needed to sort this one out. --jpgordon^{𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇} 03:42, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What WHOIS does confirm is that this is SEEWEB hosting, colocation, and cloud services, which is blocked as if it were an open proxy due to how such kinds of services are abused. I see no reason to lift the block. Izno (talk) 20:50, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
